Initiative & Finance supports Webnet in MBO.

Customers and counterparties

Paris, 9 September 2008. Initiative & Finance sets up an MBO on Webnet, an IT engineering services company specialized in the implementation of Internet architectures.

This MBO operation is part of the transfer of the company, founded in 1996 by Thierry Schwab, to the management team consisting of Stéphane Hudyma, Managing Director of Webnet since 2005, François Homo and Stéphane Prieuret, Managing Partners of the company since 2002 and 2006 respectively.

Initiative & Finance accompanies on this occasion the evolution of the capital of this company which was among the very first French SSII to realize specific applications entirely based on the Internet architectures, and which knew these last years to be made a name on the market in very strong growth of the Web 2.0 and the e-business.

The company offers a range of high added-value services (information systems consulting, application engineering and maintenance, outsourcing, multimedia creation), covering the entire project lifecycle. Webnet has always taken the side of technological expertise and non-dependence in order to offer its customers, according to their functional problems, their various constraints and their technical policy, the best choice meeting their needs. This strategy underpins a permanent technological watch, which enables Webnet to anticipate future technological orientations.

Based in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine), Webnet saw its business volume double between 2003 and 2007. The company, which currently employs 90 people, budgets a turnover of 7.5 million euros for 2008, up 25%. More than half of the business is generated by major accounts such as AXA, Total, Gaz de France, La Poste, EDF, Sodexo, Saint-Gobain, Natixis, etc., which have been loyal for many years. Webnet also works for mid-market companies, communities and associations.

“We are delighted to be living this new adventure with Initiative & Finance, an institutional partner who shares the same values of excellence, commitment and ethics as us, and who will be a real lever to enable us to further accelerate our development. This development should enable us to become the IT services company of reference in the Internet architecture market,” says Stéphane Hudyma, the new president of Webnet.

“We are particularly proud to support Webnet in its new phase of development, a reference company in a growing market, which has already found internally the means to succeed in its transfer,” says Matthieu Douchet, Associate Director of Initiative & Finance.
